Melissa Fincher, Ph.D.
Dr. Melissa Fincher, GaDOE Deputy Superintendent for Assessment and Accountability oversees all Georgia assessment and accountability programs. The 2016 GA Milestones assessments, computer glitches during EOG testing, waiver of the retention and promotion policy, student growth measures for TKES and LKES and measures to prevent technology-related interruptions in 2017 will be discussed. Also, Melissa will share the steps being taken to implement assessment and accountability requirements in SB364, online vs paper-pencil results, and other assessment updates.
