Stay ahead of the legal issues impacting Georgia schools by joining GAEL and the attorneys of Pereira, Kirby, Kinsinger & Nguyen, LLP (PKKN) for three days of timely legal updates, practical guidance, and real-world solutions for today's school leaders. This conference is designed to help administrators navigate the complex legal challenges facing Georgia schools while providing the knowledge and confidence needed to make informed decisions throughout the school year. Topics will include recent legal developments, emerging trends, and best practices related to both student and personnel issues.
NEW FOR 2026: Register for the Student Issues track (2 days), Personnel Issues track (1 day), or attend the full 3-day conference. This flexible registration format allows participants to attend only the content most relevant to their role.

Student Issues (September 8-9)
Topics may include:
Social Media, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cyberbullying, Title IX, Off-Campus Misconduct, Self-Defense, Special Education, Threats and the Code of Conduct, Cell Phone Restrictions, and much more!
Personnel Issues (September 10)
Topics may include:
Fair Dismissal Act, Teacher Contracts, Adverse Employment Actions, Effective Investigations, School Vouchers, School Administrators, Paid Maternity Leave, and much more!
Livestream is available! Please note that registration fees are the same for in-person and livestream attendance.
Registration Options:
Student Issues (September 8-9) – $500
Personnel Issues (September 10) – $250
Full Conference (September 8-10) – $750
Registration includes breakfast and lunch each day of attendance.

USB drives containing legal handbooks curated by PKKN are available for purchase during your registration or onsite during the event.

Cancellation Policy: Due to commitments to our facilities and partners, cancellations are subject to a $75 cancellation fee if received on or before August 28, 2026. After August 28, 2026, the full registration fee will be charged. No-shows will be charged the full registration fee. All cancellations must be submitted in writing. To cancel a registration, please email gsmith@gael.org. Payment is due by September 9, 2026.
