2024 GAEL Micro-Credentialing Course: Shared Leadership Best Practices

About the Course: Shared leadership involves maximizing all of the human resources in an organization by empowering individuals and giving them an opportunity to take leadership positions in their area(s) of expertise. It leads to team cohesion, consensus, and overall satisfaction, based on the collaborative effects. Shared leadership also encourages a link between the individual employee and the collective identity of the organization and team (Journal of School Psychology, 2022). Participants will engage in a professional development opportunity focused on best practices for Shared Leadership and will be able to:
· Describe shared leadership and the conditions needed for its success
· Measure the impact of shared leadership
· Guide the team to understand and appreciate the main objectives of team projects and ensure that a team focuses on collective goals
· Model how to provide emotional support to teammates through showing encouragement or recognizing each team member’s individual contributions
· Provide input to the team process
· Extend their feedback to the team in a way that aims to influence and motivate the direction of the group
· Accept and rely on the feedback of each other.

2024-2025 GAEL Member: $125
Non-Member: $275 (includes 2024-2025 GAEL Membership)
