The $2100.00 registration fee covers all sessions, materials, and includes a complimentary 2024-2025 GAEL Membership & Affiliate Membership of your choice.
The instructional focus of this institute digs deeper and goes beyond the basics of effective literacy instruction aligned to the Georgia literacy initiative. This institute is designed for participants who have completed the Literacy Leadership Institute I – Core Literacy Instruction Training or for school leaders with advanced literacy support systems already in place. There is a livestream option for attending this training, however, the pricing is the same for livestream/in-person participants.

- Question/Answer Opportunities during each session with Key Department of Education Leadership - Deputy Superintendent Dr. April Aldridge and Amy Denty.
- Impact of new Georgia literacy laws on schools and districts. HB 538, SB 211, SB 48-2019
- Facilitating the creation of strategic and systematic processes focused on improving literacy through high quality instructional practices aligned to the Georgia Literacy Initiative
- Building leadership capacity building with teachers, coaches, and administrators with interactive practice
- Conducting crucial conversations through coaching
- Gradual release coaching
- Coaching strategies for overcoming resistance
- Utilizing strategic walkthroughs to provide specific feedback about reading and writing instructional practices
- Systematically creating a culture of literacy in schools or districts
- Facilitating data digs to assist teachers with making decisions for literacy instruction
- Exploring resources for to support high quality literacy instruction
- Examining John Hattie's influences on student achievement
- Building community partnerships for positive literacy outcomes

Sherry St. Clair, president of Reflective Learning LLC, is the author of Coaching Redefined: A Guide to Leading Meaningful Instructional Growth. She coaches instructional leaders globally, with the aim of helping administrators, coaches, and teachers create the optimal learning environment for students. Cancellation Policy: Due to commitments to our facilities/partners/affiliates and the limited number of registrations, no cancellations will be allowed after September 6, 2024. Registrations are subject to a cancellation fee of $150.00. (cancellation fee will be waived for those who retain your 2024-2025 GAEL and Affiliate Membership) Cancellations after September 6 will be charged the full registration fee. No-shows at the event will be charged the full registration fee. All cancellations MUST be in writing. Please email Cindy Flesher, cflesher@gael.org, to cancel. Acknowledgement of the cancellation policy will be required during registration.
