Aspiring Principals Academy
The Participants in the 2023-2024 cohort of Aspiring Principals will engage in a variety of learning opportunities centered around the topics of Strengths-Based Leadership and Foundational Leadership Skills of a School Principal (Instructional Leadership, Human Resources Management, Finance, Budget, Ethics, IDEA/504 Compliance, Communication, Policy and Legislative Considerations and more).
The Aspiring Principals Academy includes the following meetings:
August 31, 2023 (Warner Robins) | 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
September 21, 2023 (Athens)|8:30 am-3:30 pm
Oct. 22, 2023 (Lake Lanier) | 8:30 am - 12:00 pm (Participants may stay for the GAESP/GAMSP Fall Conference at the Lake Lanier Lodge
November 12, 2023 (Savannah Marriott) | 8:30 am-12:00 pm P(articipants may stay for the GASSP Fall Conference at the Savannah Marriott)
Dec. 7, 2023 (Houston County) | 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Jan. 28, 2024 (Athens) | 8:30 am-12:00 pm (Participants may stay for the Winter GAEL Conference at the Classic Center)
Feb.13, 2024 (Houston County) | 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
March 21, 2024 (Houston County) | 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
July 14-17, 2024 (Jekyll Island) | (Participants may attend the GAEL Summer Conference at the Jekyll Island Convention Center, with the purchase of a GAEL & affiliate membership for 2024-2025).

The $975 fee includes a 2023-2024 GAEL and an Affiliate
Membership (GAESP, GAMSP, or GASSP). If you registered for the 2023 GAEL Summer Conference, you may qualify for the $725 current member rate. Please contact Ivy Young for more information.
