2017 Spring GASPA Conference

May 31 – June 2, 2017

King and Prince Resort

The Georgia Association of Personnel Administrators is pleased to announce the 2017 Spring conference on May 31 – June 2, 2017 at the King and Prince Resort.  The Theme of the conference is “Cultivating Climate and Culture” and a tentative agenda will be posted on our GASPA website around the middle of March. )

The Professional Standards Commission will provide a certification update on Thursday.  Phil Hartley will be presenting a legislative update session on Friday.  Dr. Curtis Jones, Superintendent of Bibb County Schools, will be our keynote speaker.  Dr. Jones has received numerous accolades during his tenure in education.  He currently serves as a governing board member for the American Association of School Administrators (ASSA) and Past President for the Georgia School Superintendents Association (GSSA).  He received the Bill Barr Leadership Award from GSSA and the President’s Award in 2012.  In 2015, he was one of the finalists for the 2015 Georgia Superintendent of the Year Award.  He has served as a member of the Georgia Professional Standards Commission Ethics Task Force

Hotel reservations can be made on line at the King and Prince.  Cutoff date when rooms are released to the general public is Saturday, April 29, 2017.

Standard room rate is $149, Resort view rate is $164, Partial ocean view rate is $179, and Ocean front rate is $194. There is a limited number of rooms in each category so reserve rooms early. The group code is GASPASPR.

PLEASE NOTE: If you attended the Fall 2016 conference, your membership dues were included in the registration fee. If you did not attend the Fall conference or pay your dues separately, select the non-member registration fee. Online registration for this event is available including credit card payments.

 On-line registrations after May 7 must use the credit card option.  All payments by check must be received by May 24.  On-line Registration CUT OFF is Wednesday, May 24. On-site registration will be available with a registration fee of $245 for members and $319.00 for non-members.
