 2nd Annual Georgia RTI/MTSS Summit

MTSS and RTI: Big Ideas that Everyone Needs to Know for Implementation Success

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Mark Shinn

Dr. Shinn joined National Louis University in 2003 after 19 years at the University of Oregon where he directed the School Psychology Program for 19 Years. From 1999-2003, he was a professor of Special Education at Oregon.

Multi-Tier System of Support (MTSS), known in some places as Response to Intervention or Instruction (RTI) was designed to provide more early, powerful, and coordinated intervention to ensure all students did well in school and reduce the risk for lower achieving students. Too often schools struggle with implementation, making missteps that can be avoided based on the lessons that have been learned in decades of effort. This session will highlight some of those key lessons learned in successful implementation.
