What Every HR Director must know about School Law

So, if you just have an hour, what is it you have to know? Not just the basics about firing employees and getting sued but the hiring process, the complicated world of leave and rights that employees frequently assert.
Georgia law from tenure to what it means to have waived tenure, from at will employees to those with contracts, the state evaluation process and more. Less known to many school administrators are the many federal laws that apply to almost all employees and affect everything from the hiring to the firing process. In this day and age of social media, many of the hardest issues faced by HR directors take place in the internet and are beyond the control of the school district.
