The Professional Learning Strands:
Real Opportunity and Challenges in Education with Artificial Intelligence and Other Emerging Technologies - Submissions in this strand should encompass best practices, ideas, and experiences regarding how A.I. and other types of emerging (perhaps disruptive) technologies can benefit student learning, aid in instructional design and assessment, and jumpstart innovation in the classroom...and regarding how to ensure these new tools don’t cause unnecessary harm.
Real Partnerships between Schools and Businesses for Workforce - This strand will be themed around innovation and best practices around building workforce readiness skills, education/business partnerships, CTAE, and STEAM. The challenge is REAL: We don’t have enough skilled workers to meet the demands of our economy. How will we help Georgia rise to the challenge?
Real Literacy Improvement for Students - Georgia Law (HB 538) requires all teachers to be trained in the science of reading and foundational literacy skills, requires all K-3 students to have multiple screeners, and all systems to provide high-quality instructional materials aligned to the GSE standards and the science of reading. What are your school system’s best practices and strategic planning in light of this legislation aimed toward improving literacy outcomes GA?
Real Safety & Mental Health Support for All - Submissions in this strand will speak to best practices for maintaining/improving physical and emotional safety for all stakeholders of the school universe. topics addressing school safety, mental health, and effective human relationship building are encouraged.
