The Georgia Association of Personnel Administrators is pleased to announce the Golden Jubilee 2016 Fall Conference on November 14-16, 2016 at the King and Prince Resort.  The Theme of the conference is “Community-Bringing resources together to promote your system”.  A tentative agenda will be posted on our GASPA website around the middle of September. (http://gaspanet.org) Donna Lowry , 11 Alive Education Reporter will be our keynote speaker.   Michael Thurmond will be our luncheon speaker. Phil Hartley will be presenting a legal Issues update.  The Professional Standards Commission will provide a certification update. Sessions are planned to discuss diversity in recruiting as well as making the most of your recruiting efforts.  The Georgia Educational Leadership Faculty Association (GELFA) will again be joining us on Monday as we continue to strengthen our partnerships with higher education. 

Hotel reservations can be made on line at the King and Prince.  Cutoff date when rooms are released to the general public is Thursday, October 13, 2016.

Standard room rate is $118, Resort view rate is $134, Partial ocean view rate is $144, Ocean front rate is $154. Two bedroom/two bath private ocean villas with living room and kitchen areas provide an option for two individuals to share the unit at a cost of $154 each. There is a limited number of rooms in each category so reserve rooms early.

PLEASE NOTE:  Online registration for this event is available including credit card payments. On-line registrations after October 24 will need to use the credit card option.  All payments by check must be received by November 7th.  On-line Registration CUT OFF is Monday November 7th. On-site registration is available after November 7th with a registration fee of $324. Payments by check should be made directly to the GAEL office at P.O. Box 6445, Athens, GA 30604.
