The Georgia Association of School Personnel Administrators is pleased to announce the 2022 GASPA Spring Conference, June 1- 3, 2022, at the King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort. A tentative agenda will be posted on our GASPA website soon.
You will enjoy interacting with our opening speaker, Superintendent of Douglas County Schools and former HR professional, Dr. Trent North. His lively presentation will support and motivate HR professionals who, after two years of the pandemic, are moving from surviving to thriving!
Dr. Mike Moody, will speak about Creating a Culture of Retention, A Place No One Wants to Leave. Heather Bilton, a recent GASPA retiree who has joined GADOE, will be accompanied by Jim McMickin to speak on teacher and leader induction.
Dr. Garry McGiboney, Executive Director, Sharecare, will present on a timely topic, Teacher Wellness. Dr. Melissa Shepard and Dr. Chis Brown will address, Exit Interviews: So Now What? We’ll also hear from Michael Pantin and Rodney Jenkins on Recruitment for Classified Positions.
Phil Hartley, of Harben, Hartley and Hawkins, LLP, will present an always-informative legal issues update. From the Professional Standards Commission, we will hear from Dr. Kelli Young and Windy Fortenberry, who will provide important certification updates. Anne Marie Fenton and others, will present Mitigating Educator Missteps in a Complex Profession: The Power of Professional Conversations.
Pre-Conference Sessions are planned for Wednesday morning, June 1, and are open to all conference registrants. Presentations include the following:

PLEASE NOTE: Online credit cards payments are available. Online registrations after May 25, 2022 will need to use the credit card option. All payments by check must be received by May 11, 2022. Online registration CUT OFF is May 20, 2021.
On-site conference registration will be $370 plus a $50 on-site registration fee.
